Fody's Simple Bone-In Low FODMAP Roast Beef
Description of Fody's Simple Bone-In Low FODMAP Roast Beef
Isn’t that what everyone wants when guests are coming over? A main dish that is elegant enough to say “party” or “holiday” but easy on the cook? This Simple Bone-In Low FODMAP Roast Beef recipe is so easy, you won’t believe it! And yet, the flavor, the texture, the beefy satisfaction is restaurant worthy!
You need this low FODMAP recipe and Fody Shallot or Garlic-Infused Oil, Fody Steak Blend and a great piece of meat. This is not the time to scrimp. Go to a butcher and buy a grass-fed hunk of beef, bone-in - and then make sure to bring to room temperature before roasting (which might take longer than you think, so plan ahead). Then sit back and enjoy your meal and await the accolades.
Low FODMAP Roast Beef Ingredients
- 6 to 7 pound (2.7 kg to 3.2 kg) bone-in rib roast, trimmed of excess fat (but leave some), at room temperature
- 2 tablespoons Fody Low FODMAP Garlic-Infused or Shallot-Infused Olive Oil
- 1 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tablespoons Fody Low FODMAP Steak Seasoning
Cooking Directions for Low FODMAP Roast Beef
Preheat oven to 450F/230. Place a V-rack or a flat rack in a roasting pan.
Whisk the oil and Worcestershire sauce together and rub all over the meat, then sprinkle the low FODMAP steak seasoning all over use your hands to pat into the meat to adhere. Place meat, bone side down, on rack, place in oven and roast for 20 minutes. Turn heat down to 350/180C and roast for about 50 minutes or until an instant read thermometer registers 125F/52C for rare meat, 135F/58C to 140F/60C for medium. The time will be dependent on the size of your roast and the temperature of the meat when it went into the oven.
Allow your low FODMAP roast to rest for at least 30 minutes, lightly draped with foil. Carve and serve warm or at room temperature. Remember: low FODMAP leftovers make the most amazing sandwiches and roast beef hash!
