We always keep Fody Low FODMAP BBQ Sauce on hand. Sometimes we use it right out of the bottle, but we have found it to be flexible as an ingredient, such as in this low FODMAP recipe where, with the addition of curry powder, makes our moist and healthy Fody Curry BBQ Low FODMAP Turkey Burgers quickly and easily. Make sure that your curry powder is low FODMAP and does not contain any onion or garlic.
Place ground turkey in a mixing bowl and add the cilantro, 1 tablespoon Fody Garlic-Infused Olive Oil, Fody BBQ Sauce, cumin, curry powder, turmeric, cayenne and a generous amount of salt and pepper. Mix together well and form into 4 patties.
Heat a skillet over medium heat – I like cast-iron or nonstick. Coat the bottom of the skillet with a little extra oil. Add burgers, adjust heat to low and cook until about halfway cooked through, about 5 minutes, then flip over and continue cooking until cooked all the way through.
Meanwhile, whisk together the ½ cup (120 ml) Fody BBQ Sauce and the 1 teaspoon curry powder for a topping. Place the bottoms of the rolls on your plates and arrange lettuce leaves and tomato slices on them. Top with cooked burgers, dollop with sauce, arrange top bun and serve immediately.
